As for the referendum, I chose to be an obnoxious skeptic

Posted by Kidha Kidha in Untagged

Kidha Kidha
Sometimes I think I am just a plain rebel. Sometimes I just feel like I want to spoil the party. I am quite sure it may be attributed to my sinful nature. However, I am hesitant to entirely think that I am all the time sinful, rebellious and a spoiler of the party. There comes a time when it is just annoying to follow fashion, culture and other prevailing popular dictates of society at given times. For this reason, I refuse to be excited about the referendum.

Where is the support for youth initiatives on proposed constitution?

Posted by George Nyongesa in Untagged

George Nyongesa
As you are aware, Kenyans are in the last stretch towards giving themselves a new constitutional order. The proposed constitution is about the future of Kenya. It is about new awakening. It is about fresh start. It is about dialetics on emergency of new leadership in Kenya. It is about the youth of Kenya who will be here for a while to live through its goodness and challenges. The proposed constitution contains goodies for the youth constituency that need to be preached from the tallest buildings and trees in all towns and villages. So important is the proposed constitution to Kenyan youth that they must and should not be relegated to passengers on the bus of change, merely expected to fill stadiums at rallies organised by the old guard in the sunset years. This old guards are not only creating jam in the political arena. They are also in the civil society. They are gate keeping everywhere. While this process needs everyone, it is not asking so much when the youth say you had your time, please take a back seat now.

Raila is wrong: the proposed constitution is not a government project

Posted by George Nyongesa in Untagged

George Nyongesa
We, the citizens of Kenya, wish to make this statement to register our utter dismay at the brazen assertion by Prime Minister Raila Odinga that the proposed constitution is a government project. This kind of opinion worrisome and betrays inclination of the executive to misuse its power as stick on those who hold contrary views on proposed constitution.

A day in the life of a Jesus who is a homosexual

Posted by Denis Nzioka in Untagged

Denis Nzioka
The morning in the neighbourhood would start at Farmer Zaccheus’ cock’s crow every dawn. The chickens are a nuisance to the neighbourhood. The neighbours have bought cats, dogs and one even a snake to have the chicken ‘taken care of.’ Tucked away in this community is the homestead of one simple carpenter, Joseph, and his wife, the beautiful Mary, and oh, how can we forget their only child, Jesus. Jesus is asleep as he has come home around 4am reeking of alcohol and shouting at the top of his voice. He entered the house and immediately went to the loo to vomit. He has had much to drink and his hungry stomach could possibly not handle all the alcohol he took at the drag party he was at yester night.

I am part of a lost generation
And I refuse to believe that
I can change the world
I realize this may be a shock but
Happiness comes from within.
